Hi all,

I have VMware fusion 3 and I use it to run a virtual machine. If I upgrade this to parallels 7 will I still be able to continue using the same virtual machine or will I have to create another one from scratch?

Thanks.

No you'll need to create a new vm, totally different file structure.

FWIW, vmware just came out with fusion 4, this may be sufficient to fit your needs. At the very least you can download the trial and see (just be sure to back up your vm just to be safe).

Hey Matt,

This is a member of the Parallels Support team. You actually just migrate it over, but if you run into any troubles, please check out this Knowledge Base article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/111956
