I cannot get VMWare Fusion to create a pre-allocated disk (or on the odd occasion if it works, starting the VM to install Windows crashes VMware Fusion).
I have the exact same setup on a MacBook Pro, which works fine. On my Mac mini, which has a 1TB Fusion Drive, it struggles with pre-allocated disk space.
Anyone else had issues like this? I'll post this on the VMware forums too, but thought I'd post it here too.
UPDATE: I separated the Fusion Drive and have no issues with pre-allocating disk space, so there is clearly a problem with the Fusion Drive doing this. I'm not paying to upgrade to version 5, so no idea if VMware have resolved it or not.
