Hi all,
VMware Fusion 7 has been running fine on both my rMBP and iMac. Windows 8.1 supports HiDPI ok on the rMBP, resolution is around 2560 * 1600 with DPI of 200%, which is close enough to the native resolution of 2880×1800 (not available as an option though). However, when using the iMac 5K with the same VM also defaults to 2560 * 1600 and the only 16:9 option is 1920 * 1080 which is much too low. This is even after reinstalling VMware Tools. Not only I cannot use anything close to the true resolution, but I get black bars from 16:10 resolution also!
Has anyone been able to use 4K resolution on VMware Fusion 7 with Windows 8.1? Any ideas to maximise screen real estate and sharpness on both macs?
