VMWare Fusion and snapshots

I had a couple of snapshots from VMWare that I tried to delete. When I tried the computer froze a bit so I stopped deleting them in the middle. Now when I go to my snapshots they no longer appear however they are not fully gone because I can see they are still taking up space on my hard drive. Is their a way I can delete them by opening up the root file?

Did you delete them from fusion directly or from the hard drive?

Can you see them on the hard drive now? if not how can you tell they are taking up space.

I deleted them from fusion. I know they are taking up space because after deleting them the space wasn't restored. Each snapshot takes up upwards of 700mb
