There is a thread already in the Applications forum, I thought it's worth posting here as a buying tip.

The time period when Fusion is available as a pre-order/beta is nearly over - from 6 August, the RRP is $79.99 but if you buy before then as a download it's $39.99.

Details are here.

I've gotta say I'm glad I took advantage of that offer, I'd never used much virtualisation before but I'm glad I tried it.

Just a tip for anyone with ~1GB of RAM, if you want to run Linux, Xubuntu 7.04 works really well but Ubuntu and Kubuntu are a tad sluggish, but probably still usable.

I just downloaded VMWare, i have not tried it before but willing to give it a shot. I still hope they keep some kind of beta for potential buyers.

agreed...i bought it a couple of days ago and i dont even have my MBP yet...it's a great buy!!!

Alright, i downloaded the beta and gave it a try. I played around for 15 mins but i can see its faster then Parallels, i guess its time to pre-order my copy as well.

Im so happy I have people who can get me Fusion for free... a legitimate copy too :)
