vmware-fusion; host icon brings up unity window

a mac / vmWare fusion question
how can i setup...

on the host screen, click on an icon to start up an application (say Safari) in a guest virtual machine unity screen mode.

make it appear as if the Safari application is running on the host but actually running on a virtual guest machine

prior to clicking on the host icon Safari in its guest machine is not running.

Are you running macOS in a guest? If so, VMWare doesn't support running macOS in unity mode; it only works with Windows guests.

both host & guest are macOS
ya; no unity mode, guess that makes it a none issue
