VMWare Fusion Migration Assistant?

I have a PC with Windows 7, that my brother uses, but I would like to use Windows 7 on my Mac. I am afraid that Migration Assistant from VMWare may render the PC useless by deactivating software, deleting important files, etc. Will this happen or will it just create new files that my Mac can read?
