VMware Fusion on Snow Leopard?

Has anyone else had an issue with getting VMware Fusion (downloaded from their website) to install on Snow Leopard? The installer icons bounces for a while then just freezes without doing anything. Any solution for this?

it wont run in 64-bit native other than that I had no issues
