VMware Fusion & Outlook 2007

I just installed VMware and then subsequently installed XP, then Office 2007. I set up my email on outlook just as I had on my PC, however it will not send outgoing mail, it just sits in the outbox and the gives this error

Task 'Me@oit.edu - Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I am able to receive mail fine. Both servers require authentication. SMTP port is set to 25

Any thoughts would be appreciated

What is your virtual network card set up as? Bridged or NAT?

I used to have DNS resolution problems while having it set up as NAT. Changing it to bridged fixed everything.
