VMware fusion--printer icon disappeared

i updated to vmware 3.1.3 and the printer icon in the lower right corner has disappeared. so i can't connect/disconnect to my hp.

now i cannot print on the mac side even when vmware is closed.

what shld i do?

is there a way to set it up so that i can print on both the windows and mac side on my imac w/o disconnecting on the windows side?
