Hi,

tried Fusion6 and Parallels9 and have to say, that I like Fusion6 more than Parallels.

But I do have one problem with Fusion - it's power consumption.

Running it under Mavericks (and even if the virtual machine is idle) Fusion is always an app which is using "significant power" and the dGPU is always activated.

Is there a workaround?

No until Vmware updates their app. With that said, what does this mean to you? I'm not sounding coy but why is Fusion using more significant power an issue?

I use Vmware Fusion and have noticed that in Mavericks, it causes the fan on my GTX 680 to run higher. This was not an issue with Mountain Lion. I hope Vmware fixes this soon.
