VMWare Fusion using virtual machines, not bootcamp partition

All,

I have VMWare Fusion 1.1 running on OS X Leopard and have a WinXP VM created on a Windows host with snapshots. In my menu bar, Take or Revert to Snapshot is greyed out. I understand that the bootcamp VM cannot be snapshotted for disk corruption reasons, but I shouldn't have that problem on actual VMs, should I?

If anyone has some insight, I would appreciate it.
