VMware Fusion Windows File Question PLEASE HELP!

I was wondering if it was possible to open up an attachment in Mail, such as a Microsoft Publisher File, a .pub, and have Fusion automatically open up Microsoft Publisher when I click on the file? I have Fusion installed, XP SP2 installed, and Microsoft Publisher installed and all is working great, but for simply the ease I was wondering if this is possible.
