I was just looking on the apple store (the site, not the actual store)
and saw a program called VMware, it lets you run windows programs, on your mac, along with linux and any other PC OS, without rebooting your machine

and I was wondering if this would let me play PC games, like guild wars... or if this program only works with PC applications, not games....

It'll let you play games that support up to DirectX 8.1. Anything after that is a no go. I would guess anything too far before that might have issues as well, though I don't know that for a fact.
