I have a MacBook Air that I use all day at school. When I come home I put it in a MBA book doc (where the lid is closed and it's vertical to let it charge. The next morning I grab the air and go to school. It does not have an external monitor or keyboard since I don't use it on my Dell U2412Ms.
At home I use a PC. I am wanting to occasionally VNC into my Air to do certain things (like manage iPhoto). I set Wake on Wifi to work and set Screen Sharing. With the MBA closed and plugged in to power I can connect via VNC and see the login screen. Once I login VNC crashes and disconnects "gracefully".
Does anyone have a solution for my somewhat obscure use case? I have Googled all over and most people trying to do this have their Mac's in clamshell hooked up to an external. That said, even they are complaining because apparently ML broke Wake on LAN for VNC or something. I wish OS X gave you headless options like Windows does!
Anyways, any input would be GREATLY appreciated!
