VNC Viewer - Remote Desktop iMac

I'm trying to use VNC viewer on the iPhone with my iMac. It works decent when it connects, but I notice that when I open up Tranmission after doing it all my torrents say "Bad Gateway 502".

I was just wondering if anyone can explain what's causing it.

Did you try doing it afterwards without VNC turned on?

if i stop the remote connection and restart they eventually fix themselves. but i'd like to know what causes the bad gateway error while connected remotely.

i'd like to use VNC for starting downloads while i am away from home.
