Has anyone had an issue with VO2Max not calculating on their Ultra. I have had my Ultra 1 for a year and it has always calculated VO2Max just fine. Then all of a sudden it stopped calculating. I did a complete reset (unpair/re-pair/set up as new watch) and it worked for a day and stopped again. I do outdoor running activities so it should be calculating. I do have cardio fitness tracking toggle turned on. Apple support was no help as it took my about 30 minutes to get to a person that knew what VO2Max was. They told me to turn off all the apps I have reading health data and try 2 more runs. I doubt this is going to work.

Anyone have this issue?

I have the same problem. The last Cardio Fitness update was December 16 despite an additional 13 outdoor running workouts since then. I have tried with both WorkOutDoors and the native app. I have also tried resetting and unpairing/re-paring the AW. I even did a reset and restore from backup on the iPhone to no avail 😐
Let me know if you figure it out.

I’m having the same issue on S7 SS! Last reading in December 2023, since then nothing. Really weird since I don’t workout any more/less then usual.

watchOS 10.2 was released Dec 11th. When did you update your watch?

I have no issues. Strange.

Same here. My S7 SS Last read was Jan 7th, and after that nothing.

doesn't seem to be a problem on my Series 9 using latest software version.

in fact, the Activity app (on the iPhone) in the Trend arrows section gave me an explicit new advise two days ago to include some hills in my walking or running since my vo2max is headed down. this is after successive walks and runs lately where i was doing a minimal kind of effort on a flat area.

I stand corrected. For me, I found my solution. In order to have the vo2max working I actually had to have ”Workout” activated during my walk in order for the vo2 to register. That was my mistake. Probably not your issues.

Is this metric only for an outdoor workout? I’ve had outdoor compute a value, but indoor on the treadmill doesn’t.

From reading, it appears to only register on an outdoor walk/run.

Thanks!

As I recall I updated to 10.2 the same day it was released, and I had several workouts registering cardio fitness after that.
Good news though. Mine has started working again for no apparent reason and the last 3 workouts have generated updates in cardio fitness.

I’ve given up on ever getting mine to work again. My outdoor runs are usually five to ten miles three times a week and I just can’t get it to work. Funny thing is it worked in the past. I use the workout feature on my Apple Watch Ultra.
