VOB Conversion

Perhaps you all can help me.

I have a video (that I own) that I really want to get on my phone for my flight coming up on Wednesday.

I have the DVD and can rip it using Mactheripper, but then I get VOB files.

Is there a better way so that I can get it as one whole mp4 file? If there isn't how do I join the VOB files so they work properly?

Any help would be awesome!! Thank you.

Before last night I'd have to completely disagree with you. I'd open up Handbrake and tell it to convert the VOB files and it would just say "Opening" Come back the next morning and it still says "opening," but last night I tried one last time and it worked!! I got a movie converted down to 500 mb!

Open up Handbrake. From there it should want you to pick the source which is the VOB files. You go to where the file is. Open that folder. There should then be VIDEO_TS files. From there click that folder. Then hit open and it should work.
