Hi guys...a newbie to this forum and novice at that, so apologies in advance as well if this is the wrong thread.
Running MB Pro with Vers 10.5.8
From this I have been running MRP combined with Handbrake to add our family home DVD collection to recently purchased
TV.
However, whilst most DVD's have not posed too much of an issue, one case does have me stumped. I have searched the various forums and am still none the wiser.
Issue
One DVD, Scooby Doo, The Mystery Begins (aptly named) causes an issue.
Step 1 - Run MRP to extract files
Step 2 - Run D-Vision 3 to stitch the resultant multiple .VOB files into just one .VOB file, as Handbrake can't handle multiple files.
At this point I check the D-Vision .VOB file 3 by running it in VLC...and it works perfectly.
Step 3 (and this is where it all goes wrong) - using the preview function in Handbrake, to convert to mpeg-4, I run a short 10 sec clip of the .VOB file, however, the video playback is distorted and scrambled. I have actually ran the whole encoding in Handbrake to see if it fixed itself, but alas, that was wishful thinking too.
So question is, is there something that I am doing (maybe a setting) that is preventing Handbrake from giving me the desired result, or, is it Handbrake itself which is the issue, in which case, what can I do and what are the alternatives?
Appreciate your help guys (my children are now on my case too)!!!
