vocal recording

i have the new alubmacbook and realized i couldn't just plug in my microphone..

what would be the cheapest way to do a quality vocal recordings?

i don't need anything professional-grade...

all i'm trying to do is cover a song and post them up on youtube for personal pleasure

any inputs would be great

Basically you need a mic pre-amp to amplify your mic signal into your computer.
You can get USB interfaces from the likes of M-Audio, Presonus, Edirol, Behringer etc for a pretty cheap price. Just search around on the net.
