I've been reading the small print for the data usage of Orange and Vodafone's and it seems like they don't let you do anything! It looks like YouTube isn't allowed, Skype, Yahoo, streaming video from Apple's website etc etc isn't allowed either.

Orange: source

Not to be used for other activities (e.g. using your handset as a modem, non-Orange internet based streaming services, voice or video over the internet, instant messaging, peer to peer file sharing, non-Orange internet based video).

Vodafone: source

We reserve the right to charge all usage other than accessing Vodafone live! and the mobile internet at our published rates for GPRS and 3G data access. A 5p minimum charge will apply for each data session where use of other services has occurred.

Am I reading this wrong? Surely it doesn't matter what you do (browsing/video streaming wise) as long as you remain within your monthly allowance?

Surely these rules don't apply to the iPhone..?
