I was using a vodafone mobile broadband dongle on my macbook pro which i no longer need how do i completely remove all the install files and etc for it

I use a program called AppTrap, which can be accessed to turn on/off in the Preferences pane. When it's turned on and you delete an application, it will search for all the relevant install files and remove them too.

In most cases, app removal software, including AppTrap, doesn't do a thorough job of finding and removing files/folders related to deleted apps. For more information, read this and this. If you just want to delete the app, drag the .app file to the trash. No other software needed. If you want to completely remove all associated files/folders, no removal apps will do the job.
