Walked into my local Vodafone branch today and was told delivery would be 3-4 working days and that the online store uses a different warehouse to them, hence the out of stock messages online.

Considering I had resigned myself to the 3 week + wait from the Apple store, I left the shop quite pleased with myself.

Hope this should be some help to anyone looking for one in the UK :)

You mean the Apple web store? you can pretty much walk in and out of an Apple store with an iPhone 4, well at least I did in Brent Cross

Well, my Dad bought his 3GS from the Apple store in London on contract on O2, so I'd assume that still applies.

Anyhow, the one from the Vodafone store costs £570, so it's a £29 saving if you don't mind being on Vodafone for a year (which I already am)

So every single post about buying or owning an iPhone in the UK has to be consigned to a single thread?
