With the satellite connectivity features gradually expanding, I imagine the next evolution to be voice calls over satellite. I imagine some clever and brilliant engineering and marketing from Apple. Here is my personal speculation on how they could cut down the bandwidth required for a voice call. Since Apple has already pioneered the accessibility feature Personal Voice, I imagine that setting this up would be mandatory prior to voice call over satellite. Using on-device intelligence live speech is converted in real time to a very small file size code. Which is then reinterpreted on the receiving iPhone and reconstructed using the Personal Voice pattern data that was shared in advance. What do you think on this idea? Go ahead and weigh in on Apple’s satellite network as far as its capabilities, and its future growth.

Voice/Facetime/Usable Data is coming soon! But via ASTS partnered with AT&T and Verizon.

The capacity on Apple’s partnership with GSAT isn’t enough to support data. Limited Voice may be possible
