Voice Control on iPod Touch 2g?

I know this is a double post, but does anybody know how close they are to finishing Voice Control on iPod Touch 2g. I want to know if it's going to take a Year or another Month

I think it needs a little more than a mic and a software tweak I think it requires specific hardware components so I don't see it happening for earlier models.

I can see both sides of the argument..I was disappointed as well with no built in mic. Apple disappointed me for the very first time

It's a hardware requirement so I can't see it ever happening. The new 8GB touch is identical to the old one and does not support voice control. Only the new 32GB and 64GB touch support voice control.
