Voice Mail and Bluetooth

Am I missing a setting?

This is the first phone I have had that when I play the vm it doesn't come over the car bluetooth. Even though the phone is working fine through the car I have to listen to VM through the phone. Seems weird to me.

3G iPhone and a Toyota Prius.

Thanks for any help.
