Anyone have any idea why my Mom's iPhone asks her for a Voice Mail password everytime she turns on the phone? If she presses "Cancel", it works anyway. I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it for her.

Also, her battery keeps dying once a day even when she doesn't use it. When you look at the usage, it is 20 hrs usage, 20 hours standby. The two numbers are always the same. I have shut off everything and it still does it. The data sent and rec'd is only like 700K/8Megs. So if it's not sending/receiving data what else could be causing this? It's a 1st gen iPhone. She updated it to 2.1 and it still does it.

Help!

Have you tried a restore for the usage issue? I would do that and then you can ensure the phone is clean and see if it happens still.

I had this problem until I completely wiped clean the iphone and after a full reset...but others are still having the problem despite the latest update.
