Voice Memo and Compass UI

The UI for the voice memo and compass apps are obviously far, far higher in quality, detail, and aesthetic appeal than most of the other interfaces on the phone.

Do you think OS 4.0 (or comparable, if that is not the final name) will include more of these high quality interfaces?

OS 4.0? We won't see that until summer 2010.

I recognize that. I'm just asking if people think the styling used in those two apps will lead the future direction of iPhone (and possibly Mac OS X) interfaces.
