Did anyone notice that if you tap the mic on the screen, the volume pointer reacts? I mean, as if it were a real microphone!

Huh, I was going to make a snarky comment like "maybe because it's hearing the sound of your taps?" but you're right. And if you tap elsewhere on the screen, the pointer does not move.
