Hi all. I have a friend that sends me questions about computers, and had one about Final Cut Express, but I've never used Final Cut Express and have no idea how to help him. I'm pasting his e-mail here, if anyone has any ideas it would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I am trying to do voice over on instructional video using Final Cut Express. The audio equipment is set up correctly - I can record using other software (eg garage band), but the voice over tool does not work in Final Cut Express. Sometimes it shows a mic signal, sometimes it doesn't. Either way, after "recording," there is nothing there. Also, after trying to record, I cannot playback sequences - I get a frames dropped message. It all works fine if I don't try to use the voice over tool - have you ever had a similar problem? Pretty frustrating.

I don't see his email, so here's a place to start:

The tutorial is for ancient FCP 3, but I believe it's still the same in FCE.

The e-mail was the 2nd paragraph. Thanks for the link, I'll forward it to him.
