Voicemail almost unusable on 3gS!!

Hey guys the voicemail on my IPhone 3gs is reallllly slow.
I will get a voicemail today and can't get it until the next day, even in an area with 5 towers!
I've reset it just recently but that didn't help, any suggestions?
