I have 40 or so "deleted messages" on my iPhone voicemail. Any ideas on whether these are stored on a server or on the phone itself? (my guess is on the AT&T server).

Is there a capacity? Can your iPhone mailbox fill up? Any way to "pop" them to the device for storage similar to email?

Yeah it's on the A&TT server. If it wasn't and on the phone itself instead, you could play your messages when you have no signal :)

Don't know about space though.

That's the thing that is confusing. Once the voicemail is transmitted to the phone, you can hear the messages whenever. I listened to messages on the plane today when my iPhone was in airplane mode.
