voicemail password on 3gs inside the phone

i do not know how or what happened ...i let me son play a game on my phone ....mind you he is 3 and now i can access my voicemail on my phone i never put a password on it to begin with so inside the phone in settings an if i select the phone option and scroll down there a option that says voicemail password but i dont know it should i just restore the phone and will that wipe out that password....?

Assuming your with AT&T, your voicemail password is set when you first make your voicemail profile. So, your kid didn't set that. What he probably did is reset all settings, which causes you to have to enter your VVM password again. Your lucky he didn't select erase all content and settings. Anyway, call AT&T.

Whoever it's with, you need to call your provider to get your VVM password reset.
