Voicemail problems - Orange UK

Searched the forums, but couldn't find an answer...

On Orange UK network and iPhone constantly shows the voicemail icon, and constantly beeps to indicate a new voicemail. When I go into voicemail theres no messages there.

Also recieving the miised call alert about 2 days late.

Orange have refreshed my voicemail and sent me sim updates, and I have also restored the iPhone, but still have this problem.

Any ideas how to resolve this? Thanks

Assume you are not using an Iphone you bought from Orange? I've had several discussions with Orange on this subject as I've been having the same problems on a factory unlocked IPhone purchased in Hong Kong last August.

The SIMS that orange give you to go with an Orange Iphone have a slightly different profile to ordinary Orange SIMs and this is the problem. I cant get Orange to give me one with the Iphone profile YET though I havent given up trying.

Solved the problem by getting HulloMail from the appstore. This not only gives you visual voicemail but also all the missed call/new voicemail notifications. Works for me and it's free of charge.

and push notification works great as well as sync with email etc..

Do you know when somebody leave a voice mail ... what number hullomail diverting our mails to? i mean if somebody call me & my orange voice mail is change to hullo voice mail and what that number is ? its not 0870 or some other number?

The reason i ask i use to use HTC HERO and company call fusion voice mail release similar app but everytime somebody leave me a voice mail i use to get charge as the number for fusion voice mail was 0870... so my ORange voicemail number change from 079***** 123 to 0870 ******



so not sure what hullomail number is

yeah my iPhone is an upgrade from Orange and is locked to their network. They gave me a new sim card with the phone when I upgraded. I'll try hullomail out, thanks.

I had a factory unlocked iPhone from Italy last year and had no problems with that one whatsoever. Orange like to piss about with their software so always mess phones up!

I checked my itemised bill and see no additional charges. The number being called is 3300610223

I recently moved from O2 to Orange and was a bit shocked by the 'blast from the past' voicemail. I quickly installed HulloMail, but the one message I have received so far seemed to take a long time before I could listen to it. With O2's implementation of the proper Visual Voicemail I always found voicemails were accessible very quickly. With HulloMail, it showed I had a message but there was nothing in the list for me to listen to - until quite a while later. I was in a strong 3G area.

Before I rush back to O2, I'm going to test it out for a while and see if it's a consistent problem. What are other people's experiences with HulloMail?
