How does Apple check if you have voided your warranty? I'm assuming that hacking the phone for ringtones / custom icons isn't supported... but of course you can just restore the phone if you ever have to bring it back to the store.

But, can they tell if you've opened it or not? I might want to use the black back casing for it... then if I have problems, i can put the silver one back on. Can they tell that I have done this? Any help appreciated, Thanks

what do you mean use the black back casing, can you buy a different one?

I think they're happy giving vague answers to your vague question.

That, or they're not terribly interested in helping you scam Apple if you screw up your super-awesome mod.
