I hope I'm not posting in the wrong forum, though I think this question does have some relevance :D

This is for any EE or related expert. I have an old SB Extigy that I bought when I was in the States before coming back to Korea, and it came with an adapter that has the following stats:

Input: 120VAC 60Hz 19W
Output: 12VDC 1A
Polarity symbol:

The standard voltage in Korea is 220V, and every time I've been using it, I had to use a transformer. My question is, could I get an adaptor that has identical specs as above, but with an input of 220VAC instead, and still use the Extigy?

There are plenty of adapters on sale with those specs, but I just want to make sure it's safe and sound. This is pretty much my only gateway to 5.1 on an iMac.

But thanks for your answer, though.
