Hello

It seems that the control keys for brightness (default F1 & F2 keys) and volume (default F3, F4 and F5 keys) have moved to another key combination. Don't ask me what I've done:confused: . I already tried Fn, but that did not help.

Does any know how to rearrange the keys to the default keys?

Thanks for your help!

Regards,
Jochen

Go into System Preferences, click the Keyboard and Mouse tab, then click Keyboard Shortcuts. It should provide you with an option to change your key settings. Note should, I'm posting this on a PC so I can't check.

Thanks for your feedback. Unfortunately, I haven't found an entry for volume and brightness.

in the keyboard and mouse prefs, make sure that the "use F1-F12 to control software" is not checked. Set your modifier keys to default? Restart?

If still not working, set up an new user account temporarily, see if the sound and brightness are working in the new one.

Are the expose F7-F12 keys working?

can you set an expose configuration to one of the F1-F5 with a modifier key?

Thanks! I can't explain what it was, but I created a new user, logged in and the controls worked. I logged out and logged in as my user and the controls worked :) .

Again Thanks for your help!

brightness, volume and keyb light keys don't work

Hi!

Same problem i guess, but I didn't fix it with a new user account.
As functions keys they works fine.
I have windows 7 on the same macbook pro (2007, snow Leopard), and there all works perfectly (brightness, volume...)

any tip?

thanks for your conseils.
