Hi guys,

I recognised a very strange problem with my boot disk. Today I had to hard reboot by machine because pages did not respond and the machine did not shut down correctly, so I hit the button for a few seconds and restarted it.

So far so good.
After the reboot I saw that the left space on my boot disk shrunk extremely. From about 100GB free to only 40GB.
Then I started DiskInventoryX and saw that I've got an folder on my disk that is called 'Volumes' that includes another folder called 'Mac Pro Backup' which is the name of my Backup disk.
Apparently the folder on my boot disk includes an exact copy of the disk.
I never did a copy like that.

What went wrong and how can I get rid of that copy without breaking the system?

If it matters, the drive is an X25 G2 and the system is 10.6.1.
