Volume buttons and Mute switch no longer working.

So, as I was getting ready for bed last night I checked my volume for my alarm. Neither of the volume buttons or the mute switch work now. They were fine yesterday. The only thing that I changed yesterday was turning off some location services.

The buttons no longer work in any app and that's following two hard re-sets.

Anyone else with this issue?

Things I would try in your shoes (in this order):

1. Turn the phone completely off and then back on
2. Reset the phone by holding down the Home/Sleep buttons at the same time
3. Restore the phone
4. Take the phone to an Apple store

Others may have different (read "better") suggestions but the above is what I would do.
