Never mind that my phone is bent, I noticed the volume buttons are a different color compared to my dad's iPhone

They're both iPhone 5's on AT&T.

your bent iphone must be the fake one then, cause it bent.

but seriously, my white iphone doesn't have black color on the volume button, could be that the your iphone button is somewhat dirty ?

Does look dirty to me.

Now I feel really stupid... :/ I dampened a corner of a rag and scrubbed the buttons, apparently they have some depth that will collect dirt if you have dirty I-just-played-sand-volleyball-all-day hands.

Jeez. I was outside all day, and considering, the phone was pretty clean. I had no idea the volume buttons could do that.

How'd you manage to bend your phone like that? That's freaky. I'm surprised it still works given the tight manufacturing tolerances.

A lot of us are having bent iPhone 5's. https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1459792/

I actually managed to fix mine just by pushing it the other way.

mine are both just SILVER on two White iPhones purchased 1 in US and one in Canada...not even White...yes the indentation would collect dirt if you dont use a case
