Anyone have this problem? ****ing me off

Set the computer to output to speakers, keyboard vol controls etc control the speaker sounds and "pop" out of the speakers.

Sleep the system and it reverts back to the internal speaker, even tho the output from iTunes, Quicktime or whatever comes out of the speakers.

Does this happen to anybody else?

Thanks for the suggestion. I've got the same problem at home with my early 2009 MP quad. Interestingly, if I am in Windows XP through Parallels, it remembers the setting in Parallels to play through the external speakers even after waking the MP from sleep. I'll give resetting the PRAM a try and let you know.

Is there any resolution to this problem yet? It's surprising that Apple hasn't addressed this given how annoying it is.

I also noticed that the mute key (F10) works fine. It's just the volume keys that don't work after coming out of sleep.

Does anyone's 2009 Mac Pro not experience this issue?
