Volume control in dock a sign of things to come??

Having the volume control in the dock after you double click and slide right 2 times, is this a sign of things to come such as having a Bluetooth on/off, wifi on/off, and other quick access to control like this?

I hope so I hate going into the settings menu and changing these. Takes too much time.

Yea, it'd be nice if Apple did something like with OS X's top toolbar for iOS. If not using bluetooth, have it faded out, then tap to enable it. Same with wi-fi.
