Hi

I have a strange problem with my volume control on my Mac Mini (SMC-version (system): 1.3f4; Model-id: Macmini1,1; 1,66 Ghz) with a EMU 0404 USB 2.0 sound card.
When I press the volume increment button once it starts to run to max volume just like it would have done if I just hold down the button which I don't and it does this even if I turn the remote control into some fabric so that no light can possibly be telling it to keep going up. It does the same if I press the button to decrease the volume.
It does like that for 6 - 7 down and up turns and the it eventually works, but needless to say it's extremely annoying to have this often yet temporary error going on. I have just updated the EMU 0404 driver and firmware which did not solve the problem and my Snow Leopard is also up to date.
Any suggestions anyone? Pleeeas as I can't find anything in Apple support pages or searching the general Internet...
