Volume control

Hey there. I have a speaker which has not the option of controlling the volume. Not an issue for itself as long as I can control it through the Mac, but my issue is the following: the minimum volume is in my opinion too loud. Are there any clever out there who knows how to reduce the volume on the output source in any way?

try applications>utilities>audio / midi setup> there should be an independent volume fader for each channel of speakers.
