So one of my favourite features of the new Apple TV is that it turns my TV on or off and that it can control audio volume.
The one issue I am facing is that my TV has fixed Audio output so I cannot connect my speakers that way and than control the volume with the TV/Apple TV remote.
Furthermore my TV uses a separate volume menu when the headphone jack is used, which again means I cannot use the regular volume controls if I plug my speakers into the headphone jack.
Now the solution seems to either get a new TV which has HDMI ARC or maybe get some sort of AV receiver that can be used with the Apple TV remote. Both solutions are on the expensive side.
Another option I was thinking about is connecting Bluetooth speakers to the appleTV. Would I be able to control the volume of the bluetooth speakers with the Apple remote? Is someone having a similar setup issue and maybe solved it.
I really really want to just use the Apple TV remote for everything.
Thanks for any help.
