Boot from your Mac OS X Install DVD, choose a language, click on the Utilities menu at the top of the screen, choose Disk Utility, and click Repair Disk.

If that doesn't work, you'll need to either get a more heavy-duty repair tool or take it in for service.

Boot from the OS install disc that came with your computer. Choose the language when prompted. Then from the Utilities menu at the top of the screen choose Disk Utility. Select your HD in the Disk Utilities window and then the repair disk button.
