iPad Pro Volume level low

Is it me or is the volume too low? When I play a video, YouTube for instance, I have to crank it to 2 bars below max. If I'm at half volume, I can barley hear anything. Am I missing something?

You probably didn't get any replies because there are other threads like this. Some said that the iOS 9.2 release fixed it. Or, go into Settings, sounds, then check the volume slider. Turn "Change with Buttons" off then turn volume slider up. That helped me.
