Volume needs repair

Ok so today on my ibook i ran a verify disk in utilities and get

Error: The underlying task reported failure on exit


1 HFS volume checked
Volume needs repair

and a pop up saying I need to repair the disk disk but repair disk is still shadowed out so I can't.

It's my internal drive I ran it on, any ideas, does it really matter? I'm not really having any problems at the moment, baring aduim seems to close itself a lot lately.

To repair the volume you need to either run Disk Utility when running from another disk (like your Mac OS X disks) or boot into single user mode and run fsck...
