Volume needs to be repaired in OnyX

What does this message mean in OnyX?

It seems that the S.M.A.R.T status is OK and it says the disk seems to be working correctly in the other tab...

personal experience, ive found onyx to be flakey sometimes....to the point where i used it for years without issue thinking it was great and one day it totally messed my machine up...

be careful...and get another app to check it out.

Have you tried apps called Maintenance or Main Menu?

Oh crap I've just checked with Disk Utility and it reports the same too. Should I boot from Mac OS X DVD then repair the disk?

It seems that I do need to repair from disk utility... I'm backing up right now and will repair very soon... Wish me luck everyone and pray for me
