Volume on iMac G5

Hello,

I just bought a new imac G5 1.8ghz. I love it but the built in volume seems to be quite low. We watched a DVD on it and decided it would be better hooking up an external amp. I thought the internal volume should have been a few decibles louder. Is there a secret way to increase the volume on these units?
